The Armstrong County Firemen's Association held an award ceremony where the winners of the 2011 Fire Prevention Essay Contest were announced and presented with certificates.

Two Divine Redeemer students were presented with awards for the 2012 Armstrong County Recycling Center Calendar Contest. The contest is sponsored by The Armstrong County Board of Commissioners and The Progressive Workshop of Armstrong County in coordination with the Armstrong Recycling Center. Awards were presented by Sally Conklin, Planning Division Director. Liam McIlwain - 5th grade was an Honorable Mention featured on the "May" Calendar and Sophia Dobransky - 3rd grade was a Runner-up featured on the "March" Calendar. The winners received a tote bag made of recycled plastics and an Armstrong Recycling Center T-shirt made of 50 percent recycled material in addition to a certificate.

Four Divine Redeemer Students were recognized at a Cheerleading Competition in West Miflin on October 23, 2011.

On the left, Katie Falsetti and Maria Dobransky along with the Ford City Youth Football Team Cheerleaders, the Eagles, took second place in their division.
On the right, Maria Falsetti and Sophia Dobransky along with the Ford City Youth Football Team Cheerleaders, the Ducks, took first place in their division and grand champions by scoring the highest amount of points in all the divisions.
Katie Falsetti took first place in the Tumble Off and second place in the Jump Off contests in her division.
Maria Dobransky took second place in the Tumble Off contest in her division.
